Sombra e Ossos (2021)★ 7.6/10

This gave me such nostalgia for The Last Airbender, as in, the cartoon, had beautiful visuals and captivating characters, all the good stuff. The beginning was a little jumbled, with too many subplots trying to shoot off and overlapping each other so that you struggled a little to find your bearings in this world, but as it goes on, barred some weird balance in the pacing, the story's very nuanced and compelling. I'm thrilled they have a second season coming.

If you read the book, forget this show. This story is so magical and deserved better. I have no idea of how they were able to do that.

My first impression of the show was not the best, it was confusing. However, I decided to read the book and ended up loving it! I think I understood the story better when reading and then I could enjoy the show.

Shadow and Bone was long waited and it had an amazing first season. They found the perfect way to mix both sagas created by Leigh Bardugo. Also, the great cast can’t be ignored.
