Nova (2019)★ 6.2/10

The film selector came forward to explain that Cao Fei is a contemporary artist and that this work is beyond the usual experience of film and is more of a contemporary video work. As a result, I watched the whole film with great comfort and emotion, and even felt that there was not much ambiguity in the meaning. I could clearly construct a very complete "past-tense tragic science fiction" plot in my mind, and the images and sounds were perfect. Since "Sanyuanli", regardless of whether her work is a movie or not, Cao Fei has always been very proficient in the image and the story behind it.
