The movie shows surprise to me, especially I am not a fan of director Jon Garcia’s former The Falls trilogy. The film weakens the religious redemption-based worldview and takes life in a Mexican prison as the backdrop for the film, in which a homosexual affair takes place.
In the end, the movie depicts a gay story about the pursuit of happiness and freedom. "When the outside world is like a bigger prison than the prison which they live in, people will run hand in hand toward freedom and the snow-capped mountains."
