A popular gaming streamer is sent to a facility to treat his addiction after an episode of self harm triggered by his obsessive habit. Upon his discharge, he meets up with another gamer he met during his inpatient stay and the two go on contracted missions in the physical world that his new mysterious associate initially refuses to explain in detail. As he becomes further alienated from his family and friends, he starts to suspect his whole treatment may have been a front to exploit his skillset to carry out mind controlled sabotage attacks on national infrastructure at the behest of a high powered client in the shadows.
