A bullying encounter on an elementary school playground changes everything when a young Chinese girl and a young Black boy hurl racial slurs they barely understand. What begins as a moment of confusion and hurt gradually becomes a journey of empathy, identity, and unexpected friendship. As the children confront the emotional weight of words inherited from adults around them, CINNAMON reveals how prejudice is often learned long before it is understood—and how healing can begin with genuine human connection nourished by compassion and understanding.
