Caitlin_MccallAugust 22, 2025Despite its space-themed title, "Mars One" is grounded in realism, portraying the struggles of a modest Brazilian family. Each member wrestles with their own burdens—an irritable father, a traumatized mother, a daughter exploring new love, and a gifted son who dreams of becoming a scientist. While family tensions simmer, the film shows how unity and compassion ultimately prevail.

SualE_pablOAugust 21, 2025The soundtrack is unexpectedly lovely, though at times a bit overwhelming. Still, the lighting and cinematography are solid, and it’s clear the director has a refined visual sensibility. With its static shots and dialogue-heavy sequences, the film immerses us in the everyday rhythms of working-class life in Brazil.
