Looking back, the film feels empty—no depth, no coherent logic, and no distinct identity. The action is reduced to shaky-cam chaos, substituting camera movement for intensity. It skims over major themes like authoritarianism, social inequality, and rebellion, never delving deep enough to be meaningful. There's so much setup, yet the climax—the part that should hit hardest—is glossed over without impact.

The concept is compelling, but the film takes far too long to reach the arena—nearly an hour of setup before the actual Games begin. And once they do, the pacing remains flat. The most anticipated and potentially thrilling section of the film lacks urgency. The romance between the leads also feels forced, with no chemistry or believable buildup. Their sudden love story is more puzzling than moving.

The beginning of the trend of ¨dystopian movies about the rich being more extremely rich and the protagonist is a girl who is different from the rest¨. I liked it! Jennifer Lawerence has a charismatic energy around her character and the overall plot has some tension.

May the odds…

A visually and emotionally impactful experience, a loyal adaptation of the book and just an all-around enjoyable good action/ adventure blend that doesn't really get old. Honestly the movie that sky-rocketed J-Law's career and started to reveal her versatility as an actress, and with good reason.

Thank you, J Law

Jennifer Lawrence is one of the best actresses of her generation, and having her as part of this saga just makes it even better. Her Katniss is perfect, she knows exactly what she’s doing with the character.

A heroine with bow and arrow

Jennifer Lawrence plays Katniss Everdeen, a heroine capable of using a bow and arrow to fight her way to freedom in an oppressive society with limited resources.

A new role model

Jennifer Lawrence performs Katniss Everdeen, an action heroine that influenced a whole generation with the same weight as other similar characters, such as Harry Potter.
