Ballard (2025)★ 7.9/10

"Ballard" is a gripping crime thriller that unravels a cold case while exposing systemic corruption. With strong female-led storytelling, the series tackles both justice and institutional rot. Narrative pacing occasionally falters, yet its thematic richness and standout lead performance make it a compelling entry in contemporary television.

Every character in "Ballard" is thoughtfully developed, even the minor roles. The real standout, though, is the protagonist—a layered and magnetic performance by Maggie Q as a sharp, morally conflicted detective navigating a complex case.
