Haj Kazem Pahlavan is a respected rice merchant known for his honesty, generosity, and commitment to supporting Iranian producers. He lives with his family and has built his business through years of hard work. When he discovers that large quantities of expired and contaminated rice are being illegally imported and distributed in the country, he decides to stand against the people behind the scheme. His son Masoud supports him in protecting the family business, while his daughter Maryam, a journalist, follows the issue through her professional work and tries to expose the truth. Haj Kazem's determination puts him in direct conflict with powerful merchants and smugglers who benefit from the illegal trade. They attempt to weaken his business and create divisions within his family. At the same time, Nasser, Haj Kazem's other son, becomes involved with people connected to the illegal rice trade and gradually finds himself on the opposite side of his father's struggle. His choices create serious tensions within the family and threaten the trust between the two brothers. As the conflict grows, Haj Kazem must fight on several fronts at once: protecting his business, defending the health and interests of ordinary people, and preventing the problems created by his enemies from destroying his family. The struggle forces the family to confront questions of loyalty, honesty, ambition, and responsibility while the truth behind the illegal trade gradually comes to light.
