Though the formula may be clichéd, it still touches on some deep issues such as polarization, racism, and youth education. There's an undercurrent of helplessness experienced by the smaller police officers when confronted with the changing times. However, this theme feels somewhat superficial, often overshadowed by the tension and excitement of the next episode.
