Tess struggles to juggle an exhausting daily life with raising her daughter. She's raising eight-year-old Valentine alone, with whom she shares a very close bond. But since her separation from Georgio, Valentine's father, something has broken: Valentine refuses to go to his house. Tess sees her tense, withdrawn, and silent when she returns from weekends with him. Caught between Georgio's control, her maternal instincts, and her legal obligations, Tess is navigating a fog of uncertainty.
