A slow but beautiful movie that will reward patient viewers. Joel Edgerton is amazing in this. And it has beautiful scenery from the Pacific Northwest.

Great followup that, while not living up to its predefessor is enjoyable on its own.

stop reading now! Alright, I warned you. In that movie, a serial killer known as The Grabber kidnaps the wrong kid and ends up dead. You’d think it would be almost impossible

"To be, or not to be, that is the question:
Whether 'tis nobler in the mind to suffer
The slings and arrows of outrageous fortune,
Or to take arms against a sea of troubles
And by opposing end them."

Jessie Buckley has one of most punchable faces. Especially her smirk. So annoying. And if she could stop mumbling that would be great. When she was yelling out during the show? Infuriating. Kick her out. On another note, slutty earring Shakespeare is good.

There is nothing more poetic than an ordinary life, which, with all the events of everyday life, becomes anything but that. Joy, pain, sadness, grief, peace. All emotions that we all feel at one time or another, from which you cannot escape.

With his melancholic and wonderfully expressive eyes, Joel Edgerton takes us through a whole lifetime and invites us to experience everything Rainer went through. The moment he falls in love, has a daughter, the years he worked himself to exhaustion, the people he met along the way (for a day or several years) and could never forget, those who left him, and the regrets that never did.

The vignettes presented by Clint Bentley feel exactly like the memories anyone would have of their life, and the final sequence moved me to tears with how it reminds us that no matter how much pain and suffering we encounter on our respective journeys, there is always the possibility of being amazed again. To see the world with new eyes. To find beauty among the ashes of a fire that brought death and rebirth.

I enjoyed it, but it doesn't sit near Lanthimos' peak work for me. Much more enjoyable -- not that that is always the point -- than Kinds of Kindness, although I liked aspects of that film, too.

Also, Stavvy.

Un drama que me recuerda a The Bear.
