Yes, this might be controversial, but as a Canadian, I have some very particular picks for best films that refer to the culture of winter. I have been thinking more about this with the surprise snowstorm that recently hit us here, and how I am still surprised to wake up into a world of white.

I'm not sure about all of those films, as I still haven't seen most. Groundhog Day is faint in my memory, but The Shining is a fantastic film.
