Driven by unmatched ambition and a belief in his own exceptionalism, al-Mutanabbi rises from humble beginnings to become a court poet for powerful rulers like Sayf al-Dawla al-Hamadani and Kafur al-Ikhshidi. As his verses bring him fame, they also spark envy, political intrigue, and deadly rivalries. Blending poetry, philosophy, and rebellion, the series explores the tension between genius and arrogance, idealism and reality, in a world where a word can be as dangerous as a sword.
