The Telegin family has completed the construction of their dream - a fashionable modern barnhouse has been built in a remote village not far from Yelets, on the site of their parents old dacha. For this, Igor, an IT specialist, and his wife Darya, a practicing psychologist, had to go into debt, but there was no other way out - doctors recommended that their son with an immune disease live in an ecologically clean area. A forest, a river nearby, hedgehogs running around the plot - the new house seems like heaven on earth to the Telegins, but there are also downsides. The power is often cut off, you have to wait hours for an ambulance from the district, but the main problem is the neighbors. The Kuleshovs have lived in this village, it seems, since the beginning of time. Tamara Kuleshova, the patriarch of the family, is responsible for the dying farm, her half-crazy grandfather, the eldest son serving his third term, and the youngest, who makes ends meet with one-time earnings. Muscovites, who built their showy dacha next to the old village house of the Kuleshovs, immediately became a thorn in the side of the natives. Everyday rudeness gradually develops into hidden hostility, and then into open confrontation.
