- Storyline
- Ønskeøen is a Danish sketch comedy show that transforms the Copenhagen district of Amager into a surreal stage. Each sketch introduces a new slice of this absurd universe: an environmental activist trying to teach her eager protégé the art of protest, a French artist and his long-suffering muse chasing impossible artistic visions, a pair of Amager-born twins running a questionable driving school, a mute pusher hustling for customers on Amagerbrogade, and even two brutally honest babies who somehow see the world more clearly than the adults around them. Blending satire with the everyday quirks of urban life, Ønskeøen paints Amager as both a real place and a fantastical "comedy island," where activism, art, crime and family collide in ridiculous - yet strangely familiar - ways.
