- Storyline
- Kay is a 22-year-old aspiring creative who lives with her older boyfriend, Eli. Eli loves her deeply, but doesn't truly see her. Beneath the surface of their "stable" relationship, Kay is quietly suffocating, continuously anchored by questions about her identity and desires that she's been suppressing. When Eli invites her to a networking event hosted by his charismatic and tempting lesbian friend, Lottie, the attraction between Kay and Lottie is immediate, sparking a series of encounters that blur the line between curiosity and awakening. One impulsive night in a bar bathroom shatters Kay's reality, and forces her to face the very things she's been grappling with- her sexuality, her dissatisfaction, and her need to be seen. As Eli's trust crumbles and Kay's sense of self spirals, Kay's journey becomes one of painful self-discovery. Between guilt and liberation, she feels stuck with a choice that seems impossible to make without forsaking a piece of herself. "COMP-HET" (short for Compulsory Heterosexuality) is a raw, sensual, and darkly humorous exploration of queer awakening, emotional honesty, and the messy in-between of love and identity.
