- In 2051, a space exploration robot discovers a record from a distant Earth-like civilization that tells the story of Nongyu Wu, a bio-genetic engineering graduate student, and Xinxu Xie, a man diagnosed with antisocial personality disorder. Their fateful connection began five years earlier at a murder scene, where Xinxu Xie-once suspected of being the killer-became inexplicably obsessed with her. Years later, determined to possess her, Xinxu Xie disguises himself as a reserved medical professor and deliberately enters Nongyu Wu's life, carefully manipulating circumstances to make her fall in love with him. Yet as the two grow closer, the man who once lacked empathy gradually begins to develop genuine human emotions through his time with her. Nongyu Wu soon discovers a shocking truth about her body: she was born carrying a virus that instinctively attracts those who carry a complementary strain-one that Xinxu Xie happens to possess. Refusing to be bound together by biological compulsion alone, the two set out to find a way to eliminate the virus while confronting their pasts and their growing feelings.
