Faded

Comedy

Justin "Jay" Richardson and Jose Contreras are struggling Bay Area comedians. Both are hell-bent on shooting for the stars and are willing to do almost anything it takes to get rich and famous quick in the world of Comedy - or die trying.

Original title: Faded
Storyline: FADED opens with a high-energy fly-through of San Leandro before dropping into Jay's barbershop, the lively hub of his East Bay world. Jay, a fast-talking barber, struggling comedian, and late-night rideshare driver, teams up with his weed-dealing, scheme and dreaming best friend Jose. After Jay bombs at a local club and his rival steals his best joke, the two set their sights on entering the prestigious Historic BAL Theatre comedy competition. But their journey is anything but smooth, as misadventures, half-baked hustles, and a mysterious hooded stranger complicate their path. By the end of the pilot, Jay and Jose have the drive and the plan-but also new enemies, mounting trouble, and rising stakes that threaten to derail their shot at comedy glory.
