Bored Games (2023)
- Comedy
Directed by: Marc Morgan
The story revolves around a university going student named Haris, who recently discovered that his house might be haunted. The events take place during the country-wide lockdown instated by the government during the pandemic. This meant that even if he wanted to escape the haunting, he couldn't. At first, he gets frightened and wonders how he can make the 'ghost' haunting his house go away. He later finds out that the ghost he was so afraid of is not just there to haunt him but to actually 'tease' him: Simply because it's bored. The bored ghost finally reveals its face and it turns out to be a young woman, around his age. In time, Harris learns to 'adjust' to his new life with the ghost. This meant getting used to the unexpected jump scares, pretending not to see the ghost when his friends came over, or even convincing his mother that it was the 'cat' that broke the vase and not the bored supernatural being in their house. Harris wonders why the ghost is even lurking around when it should've found 'peace' by now. As he gets more comfortable with her presence, the ghost confides that she herself can't remember why she's still here. All she wants is to remember what happened to her and why she had to die so young. Was it a tragic accident? Or was it cold-blooded murder? Or does Harris and his family's house have anything to do with it? Harris is ready to help the spiritless spirit find her truth and crossover to the other side.
