- Storyline
- On the remote island of Arsinoi in 1972, Elektra lives a life shaped by duty rather than choice, bound to the roles of obedient daughter, loyal wife, and devoted mother. Married to Sotiris Vrettos, the island's much older mayor, she masks her suffocation with patience and calls her submission responsibility. Her only moments of reprieve come in stolen rides on her horse and secret swims in the river. Everything changes when Pavlos Filippou, a charismatic newcomer and the island's new mathematics teacher, arrives, awakening in her the possibility of a different life. But freedom comes with a price. The return of Nikolas Vrettos threatens to unearth long-buried secrets and forces Elektra to confront not only her past but also the cost of breaking free. Torn between desire, memory, and survival, she faces a reckoning that could redefine her fate.
