It's a sci-fi story, but the character development feels so clichéd it felt like something from the last century. All the characters seem to idolize the male “savior" and are ready to become extremely foolish when the plot demands, in order to highlight how powerful he is. Most of the female characters are love-struck over the male protagonist and are portrayed as overly emotional at inappropriate times, again to serve the male-centric plot. It's even more absurd in the last episode where the immensly powerful female protagonist simply chose to go back in time to the fews day before she met the male protagonist for the first time. The relationship between the two just felt way too shallow. And what about her pain for losing her father?

Imaculada-DADecember 8, 2023It's hard for me to rate season 2. But I would like to be clear that I really hated the storyline that deals with Mist's emotions. Also, the show reminds me of "Eva" as it progresses - both appeared to be discussing about some grand schemes, when the core issue is actually the protagonist's existential crisis. Otherwise, there's no way to explain the incoherent plot that has spanned over two seasons and the countless plot points that could have been explored futher but were only briefly touched upon.

The story isn't as compelling as it was in the first season. The film has resorted to using the traditional sci-fi formula, and it felt almost like a video game. A young couple fighting against all odds, then the male lead dies, then the female lead finds out that she is pregnant and gives birth, and eventually rises to become a world leader, all with an incredibly melodramatic plot thrown in between for good measure. This season kind of reminds me a bit of "The Three-Body Problem”. The ending tries very hard to be more sophisticated than it actually is, throwing in concepts such as AI creation and the world being a giant simulation, much like the ending of "The Matrix”. If you think this show is great, then I'd assume that you haven't been watching that many shows at all.

theohoratioDecember 8, 2023The hardcore sci-fi elements from the first season have been tuned down to appeal to a wider audience. They’re just throwing in a bunch of obscure neuroscience and computer science terms to look sophisticated. They can’t even distinguish between epigenetics and DNA, yet they want to explain the concept of mind uploading? Are you kidding? I nearly quit the show after watching a few episodes, but thankfully the ending wasn't a complete mess. It would probably be a good series if the content of the final episode could have been spread out over the last four episodes. However, I just don't know how to feel about this show in its current state, with inexplicable visualizations and incorrect, unexplained terms.

philip_vandervekenDecember 8, 2023All obstacles against proletariat victory and the problem of scarcity, distribution and disparity, are finally resolved when we remove the material imperative. Applying justice to matters has always been history's unsolvable problem. TAKE AWAY THE MATTERS AND WHAT REMAINS IS JUSTICE.

Diego LukaDecember 8, 2023
Diego LukaDecember 8, 2023The story is somehow fascinatingly connected with reality. The second season, which was initially canceled, miraculously “resurrected". The scope of the film has significantly expanded, elevating a typical sci-fi story to philosophical levels with a much greater depth, It kinda reminds me of my first viewing of “2001: A Space Odyssey". It is suspenseful in the first half, while the middle part feels like an action movie. The latter part delves into fantasy, ultimately leading to an epic conclusion. The entire season is well-produced, and it feels so good watching it all in one sitting. The story seems truly complete, indicating that there won't be a third season.
