1812 year. Lieutenant Grigoriy Rylskiy must deliver secret documents to Kutuzov. As soon as they get to the commander, the Russian army will begin an offensive. But on the way to the headquarters, Rylskiy looks at the girl and mysteriously disappears. Nowadays. Young scientist Dmitriy Zhuravlyov devoted ten years to the creation of a time machine, while his wife Katya earned money and dragged the whole life on herself. She was tired of the fact that Mitya was married not to her, but to a time machine, and on the day when she decided to inform her husband about the separation, Rylskiy, Katya's ancestor, turned out to be in their house straight from 1812. An attempt to return the lieutenant back ends with a breakdown of the time machine, and until Mitya fixes it, Rylskiy will live in our century.
