The Continental (2023)★ 7.4/10

This is so well done! It's rare to see a spin-off surpass the original work like this. The director and the screenwriter are truly amazing. On one hand, they've fully retained the strengths of the original work in terms of production; on the other hand, they've elevated the heart of the narrative even further than the original. What's more, they skillfully sidestepped the limitations of the medium. Instead of relying on a lead actor with a strong presence, they opted for a group of newcomers who all performed well. They also maintained a consistent artistic style throughout. In short, this is truly a fantastic spin-off that gradually and successfully expands upon the original work! Can't wait for the next season!
