Into the woods in France

Despite its interesting cinematography, intriguing permeating tone of a ghostly fairytale at times, compelling characters and a thrill-inducing plot, I feel like it's quite "not there" yet, it loses itself sometimes and I even know I believe that was intentional, it took me out of the real peak experience it could have been, and it ends up turning a bit of one plot into the next needlessly.
