- Storyline
- Tom Brewster was an Eastern law graduate who moved out West to the Oklahoma Territory in order to seek employment. He was reluctant to use guns (although he was able to do so), and he was also a teetotaler whose favorite drink was "sarsaparilla with a dash of cherry". In the TV series' first episode, he was hired as a replacement sheriff to replace a murdered predecessor. He was sarcastically nicknamed "Sugarfoot" by his predecessor's daughter for his apparent lack of fighting skills, although he eventually solved her father's murder. Subsequent episodes had him drifting from job to job while wandering throughout the Old West and Mexico.
