- Storyline
- The year is 2977 AD. Humanity has created a vast star-faring civilization, but it has mostly lost its ambitions. The population is increasingly reacting with ennui and apathy to events. When humanity is attacked by the Mazone, a race of intelligent plant-based beings in female humanoid form, few react to the threat. The space pirate Captain Harlock leads a crew of outlaws in launching counter-attacks. His crew includes (among others) the female chief navigator Kei Yuki (a former prisoner who was rescued by Harlock), the psionic alien woman Miime, and the chief medical officer Doctor Zero.
