The story of an extremely gullible, naive and morally confused wooden puppet brought to life by a fairy to give him a lonely poor carpenter a son he's always wanted.

Original title
Kashi no ki Mokku
Storyline
An animated adaptation of the Italian fantasy novel "The Adventures of Pinocchio" (1883) by Carlo Collodi. A mystical turquoise-haired fairy grants life and sentience to a wooden marionette. The new life form Pinocchio (nicknamed "Mock") wishes to become human. But he has to earn the right by proving his moral worth. Pinocchio's efforts are hindered by a number of his character flaws (such as selfishness, insensitivity, arrogance, and greed). At the same time, Pinocchio is extremely naive and gullible, allowing various adult figures to manipulate him or to use him to achieve their own goals.
