Sterlopers exposes the exciting merging of two sides of the South African entertainment industry--the glittering highways and the shadowy alleys--on the road to fame. Themes of disillusionment, betrayal, passion, and scandal, accompanied by the rollercoaster-ride of desiring success, depict the storyline. True to Deon Opperman's writing style, this series explores the ambitions, complex relationships, and search for identity which each of the dynamic characters face in their own separate segment of the industry. Sterlopers is classified as a youth drama. Not only does this genre allow for the introduction of new, fresh talent, but it also offers established artists an opportunity to show their talent on a brand-new platform, as the series also includes the performance of popular Afrikaans songs. Sterlopers is gripping, original, and destined for greatness.
