“You need money for certain things but you can also make a film without money. My first film cost 2,000 pesos to make. Obviously it has many, many, many limitations, but it is a film. I'm always of the idea that it's better to make a film like that, very tiny, than to have the best script or project but not make it.” Matías Szulanski is a film and advertising director and producer. He has directed more than a dozen films, which include Astrogauchos, Juana banana, Último recurso and Berta y Pablo. Several of his films have won both international festival recognition and a prominent place in Argentine independent cinema. He is also the founder of Kligger, a studio dedicated to promotion and production.
