“There is a universality to comedy.” British Actor, writer and comedian. Gained relevance with the British sitcom Spaced, which he co-created with Jessica Hynes and directed by Edgar Wright. This cult classic showcased his comedic talent and marked the beginning of a significant collaboration with Wright. Pegg's major breakthrough came with Shaun of the Dead, a film he co-wrote and starred in, once again directed by Wright. This “rom-zom-com” was followed by Hot Fuzz and The World’s End, completing the Three Flavours Cornetto trilogy. These films, known for their inventive genre-blending, cemented Pegg's status as a key figure in comedy and genre cinema. Beyond his work with Wright, Pegg starred in Paul, a sci-fi comedy about an alien, and co-wrote and starred in Run Fatboy Run. His roles in the Mission: Impossible series, starting with Mission: Impossible III, and as Scotty in the Star Trek reboot series further solidified his place in mainstream cinema. Pegg also voiced characters in the Ice Age films and appeared in Star Wars: Episode VII—The Force Awakens. His career seamlessly blends sci-fi, comedy, and action, driven by his passion for nerd culture.
