Imagine Michelangelo with a ticking clock- HEROIC is an electrifying, behind-the-scenes cinematic journey that plunges viewers into the high-stakes world of Master Sculptor Sabin Howard. With the eyes of a nation upon him, Howard faces an impossible deadline: to create a 58-foot-long bronze masterpiece-A Soldier's Journey-in just four years. The result will become the sculptural heart of America's new National WWI Memorial, unveiled steps from the White House on September 14, 2024. Shot over 4,000 hours by award-winning filmmaker and producer Traci L. Slatton, HEROIC captures not only the awe-inspiring process of classical creation but the emotional and philosophical crucible of an artist wrestling with war, humanity, and the sacred purpose of art. What unfolds is more than a film-it is a testament to love, sacrifice, and the sheer will to leave something eternal behind.
