The room is dimly lit, a single bulb flickering overhead. A metal table sits center stage, flanked by two chairs. On one side, DETECTIVE HARRIS (white male, 55, grizzled, salt-and-pepper hair, chewing a toothpick) leans against the wall, arms crossed. Across from him, DETECTIVE SANTOS (Argentine male, 45, sharp-eyed, leather jacket, a faint scar on his cheek) paces, restless. The door swings open, and in strides MARGARET "MAGGIE" CONROY (redhead female, 48, white, tailored suit, fierce energy), a lawyer with a leather briefcase.
