El 9
- Documentary
Directed by: Angeles Martinez Gomez
Two visionaries -one living and one deceased- recount the story of Disco-bar El 9, the epicenter of Mexico City's countercultural scene in the 1980s. The complex bond between the two characters, along with the whims of fate, determined the rise and fall of this iconic nightclub. A human chronicle of an inclusive, innovative, avant-garde, and inimitable venue, El 9 stirred winds of change in a conservative society resistant to evolution.
