Brad, a cocky college film student with more ego than talent, talks his way into a grant and drags his reluctant zoologist buddy Kyle, a ragtag crew of clueless techs, and their girlfriends into the swamps of South Carolina to chase down a half-baked idea about the infamous Lizard Man. What's supposed to be "easy credit and a fun trip" quickly turns into chaos: drunken brawls, unhinged locals, botched interviews, and endless partying as Brad's ego steamrolls any chance of a real documentary. The further they push into the backwoods, the stranger things get. Something stalks them in the dark - sounds in the trees, blood on the ground, people disappearing. What began as a throwaway student project becomes a nightmare on tape, as the crew realizes that staying drunk might be their only way to face the fear - or the creature itself. Blending gut-punch comedy with creeping horror, The Lizard Man is Pineapple Express by way of Cloverfield - a found-footage cryptid spiral where the laughs hit hard, the scares hit harder, and survival is anything but guaranteed.
