When a young Indigenous girl goes missing from a First Nations reserve, a Woodland Cree tracker reluctantly partners with a former city detective with a colorful past. Inspired by real events, we open on a First Nations reserve crime scene as we meet WATCHER, a Woodland Cree who is spiritually connected to the land and has exceptional tracking abilities. Former detective JJ Rollins enters the mix. A no-nonsense tough street cop, willing to do whatever it takes to catch the bad guy, has been placed on a leave of absence after skewing the lines between criminal and justice one too many times. With a history of bad blood, Watcher and Rollins reluctantly agree to work together to find the missing child. These two very unlikely heroes will try to put their differences aside for the greater good, without killing each other in the process.
