SuperDCM+January 8, 2024
SuperDCM+January 8, 2024It's not bad overall, joyful with a plot that isn't too cliched. The songs are enjoyable, and the sets are impressively designed. It doesn't feel that awkward as a musical. Ryan Reynolds' singing and dancing are actually unexpectedly decent, though there are still moments where he seems to be racking his brain to remember the dance moves. In comparison, Will Ferrell's singing feels more awkward. But all in all, it's a decent Christmas movie, and I had a lot of fun watching it!

toKoralíJanuary 8, 2024
toKoralíJanuary 8, 2024It's the director's debut feature film. It's well-structured with preachy lyrics. I don't have high expectations for musical films, as long as the music and dance performances are impressive, I'm satisfied. When the dancers take the stage, it's hard not to get caught up in the excitement. "Can people change?" is a great question, but the movie ends up focusing more on "whether I was beyond redemption", which seems to change the focus of the discussion, into a relatively shallow plot about redemption. Nonetheless, it's one of the better Christmas movies I've seen in recent years.

Remigio3January 8, 2024
Remigio3January 8, 2024It's a breath of fresh air among the typical Christmas films that aim to inspire people to be kind. It's not just the humor and musical aspects, but also the fact even though the original work, "A Christmas Carol” by Dickens, is already very famous, the film still put in the effort to keep up with the times. It brought a modern perspective and viewpoint to the adaptation, placing even more emphasis on personal choices and self-worth. There were even a few moments that brought tears to my eyes. In short, it's truly a great fit for a musical adaptation, with several scenes sparking my imagination about how spectacular they would be on stage! PS. Good Afternoon, You Know Who.

re-NATO4January 8, 2024
re-NATO4January 8, 2024I initially thought the theme was about "The Holy Spirit helping you to change your life", which I liked. However, the logic and plot development gradually veered out of control, making it increasingly erratic and hard to follow. Fortunately, the director managed to salvage the film in the latter half, steering the plot back towards "warmth" and "reality". Nevertheless, I found the ending a bit far-fetched. I'd reluctantly give it 4 out of 10 just for the production. (Although I have to admit, the part about Dickens's "A Christmas Carol" was a highlight and quite enjoyable!)

troyd-3January 8, 2024
troyd-3January 8, 2024It's a solid family flick with fast-paced scene changes and carefully choreographed dances that really bring out the fun in the winter holidays. The only letdown is the weak script, being too preachy, and morals that come off as a bit shallow, which takes away from the overall experience. Watching this movie somehow manages to make you forget about the cold, probably because every character and scene is just so lively. And then there's the charming Ryan Reynolds, who, while toning down his comedic side, proves to be an excellent dancer, proudly showing off the result of months of dance training to the audience. His moves are seriously impressive!

thbzcrt_7January 8, 2024It's pretty rare to come across a heartwarming and nostalgic Christmas comedy that's so joyful and endearing. The musical parts really capture that Disney feel, and the comedic timing from the main actors is spot on. The storytelling does feel a bit loose at times though, with a few scenes dragging on a bit too long. Still, the 'Good Afternoon' gag is a winner! I liked it!

Eu gostei!
