This movie feels more like a "Kingdom of the Planet of Humans" than a "Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes." As a reboot, it doesn't really capture the real conflict and connection between technology and humanity. The story and character development are weak, and the main character just lacks the charm that draws people in. Even the action scenes aren't as good as the ones in the earlier movies.

Technically speaking, this movie is pretty impressive. The apes' fur is impressively realistic, the special effects and sound design are top-notch, and the visuals are amazing. The abandoned human settlements really give it a horror movie vibe. But the plot is kind of boring, it's just a typical revenge story that doesn't really fit with the main story. It feels more like an optional side story. But the final scene with the stars does have a small connection to Planet of the Apes, which is kind of touching.

Overall, I wasn't feeling this movie. It lost the solid foundation that made the post-Caesar Planet of the Apes stories great, so the whole thing felt ungrounded. The themes were unclear, and the story was boring and predictable, making it hard to stay awake while watching it. This one is a major letdown compared to the other movies in the series. Unless you're a huge fan of this franchise, skip it and do something else with your time.

I rushed to see this movie as soon as it was released because I thoroughly enjoyed the previous two films in the series, but it was a major disappointment. The plot is bland, and none of the characters stand out or undergo any significant development. By the way, Cuba from the previous movie was a great example of character portrayal. Additionally, the pacing is too slow. Surprisingly, there isn't a single funny or touching moment in this popcorn flick. The only aspect worth praising is the special effects.

This movie was a delightful surprise and exceeded my expectations by far! The world-building is incredibly epic and awe-inspiring. It explores the conflicts between apes and humans and the struggle between greed and peace. It sets the stage for a promising future in the Apes Universe, and I can't wait for the next sequel! The characters are exceptionally well-developed. I absolutely loved it!

This movie continues to delve into the conflict and coexistence between humans and apes while highlighting the importance of trust. It particularly emphasizes the empathy and sympathy displayed by human characters towards the apes, challenging the audience's preconceived notions of "the other." In this era of rapid technological advancement, the movie prompts reflections on the relationship between technology and nature and the clash between self-interest and collective interests. This film truly deserves praise!

Surprisingly, this movie takes a philosophical turn in the end, leaving me with a heavy feeling. Questions of existence, belief, and whether to fight or strive for peaceful coexistence remain unanswered. The film realistically portrays the female lead's hesitation and uncertainty, as well as Noa's quest for answers. The scene where the female lead holds a gun behind her back carries intriguing significance, highlighting humans' skepticism and distrust towards a "race" they do not understand.

This is a very mediocre sequel. The special effects are flawless, making the apes appear incredibly lifelike. The post-apocalyptic human world is also vividly portrayed. However, this movie falls short in terms of storytelling and emotional depth. It lacks the surprising twists of the original version and the exploration of the apes' true potential the newer version set out to do. It attempts to tackle too many themes without delving into them properly, resulting in superficial tropes and symbolics. While it seems to touch on reflections of history, civilization, race, and the Earth, it barely scratches the surface.

Overall, this movie is a perfect example of the best technology getting wasted on a lousy story. The plot is messy, just like in the previous movies of the series. Sure, the apes' lip-syncing has improved significantly, and their fur looks more realistic thanks to the technological advancements in visual effects. However, no visual finesse could save the show from a shitty story.

This movie is decent, though it does have its fair share of clichés and a lack of innovation. The third movie in the series was already good because of the impressive CGI technology, which brought Caesar's facial expressions to life in a way that even surpassed many live actors. Therefore, in my opinion, a sequel in a series won't succeed solely based on the technological front; it also requires substantial changes and innovations.

Kudos to the special effects team behind this movie! They have delivered stunning visuals and an immersive experience. Nova and Noa's intertwined fates showcase the order and harmony within ape society while also revealing their conflicts and tensions with humans. Make sure to catch it in an IMAX theater!
