I thought this would be a clichéd story, but dang, it surprised me. The main character keeps finding ways to tackle one challenge after another, solving problems like a boss. And hey, I'm pleasantly shocked that this movie really pushes feminism. It's like a life lesson in a film, perfect for young girls. So, ladies, find your own path, rewrite your stories, and own it!

Man, Millie Bobby Brown seems to dig these kick-ass female warrior roles. This movie is even more satisfying than "Stranger Things.” And get this: The dragon's a lady, not a dude. The director really nails the female empowerment vibe by showing how humans interact with nature. It gives the movie a whole new level of depth, reminding us that we're just a part of nature and should respect all creatures, big and small. Peace isn’t just about how we treat each other.

A mainstream commercial film with a female protagonist that adheres to the classic Hollywood three-act structure yet managing to be polished and refreshing. The characters are well-rounded and the story is logically sound and portrays women in a positive light. The heroine is intelligent and brave, and her strengths are part of her character development, rather than attributed to mere plot conveniences. Her determined gaze when she sheds her ball gown and corset, cuts her hair, and takes up the sword alongside the spirits of her sisters is utterly captivating.

As dull as the live-action The Little Mermaid, Netflix's princesses differ starkly from Disney's uniquely quirky ones, presenting instead a homogenized, TikTok-drama level of blandness. The film dons the guise of a modern feminist adventure, yet manages to be both unappealing and outdated. The showdown with the dragon turns out to be a battle against human greed and desire. One longs for the likes of Dungeons & Dragons, which feels like a product from a different era.

Overall, it's better than I thought. They really did a great job with the storyline, characters, costumes, and props. Just being able to tell a complete story well these days is impressive, which is kinda thought-provoking. The part where the female lead is stuck in the dragon's lair is super thrilling, mixing in maze-like exploration and puzzle-solving. The clues and messages left by previous girls on the cave walls are really moving. The ending is refreshing, without any fake heroics or forced sense of justice, and that's great.

The pacing at the beginning felt a bit rushed. And imagine if I were the writer, I'd add more mystery right from the start to keep the audience intrigued and curious. Then, as the female lead gradually uncovers unsettling details, she'd have to rationalize and come to terms with them. However, the audience wasn't really fooled, so it was hard to connect with the main character's struggles. On the bright side, Millie Bobby Brown's acting was really impressive! Her makeup looked stunning, and the hair color suited her perfectly. Plus, the dragon's voice was quite pleasing. Overall, the special effects and visuals were solid, and the storyline was average, giving off a fairytale feel.

This movie would have been really impressive if it had been made in 2000, but filming it in 2024 makes it seem kinda cliché; all the plot twists are pretty obvious. The special effects and action scenes are just okay—nothing too special. Still, I was pretty excited to see what adventures the dragon and princess would have next. Can't wait for a sequel.

This movie fits right into the classic category of feminist flicks whipped up for entertainment, backed up by big data. Its creative ideas are similar to "The Princess." However, this movie falls short, and the pacing is a bit slow. Its story lacks focus, resulting in a lackluster and hurried emotional climax that misses the mark.
