It’s clear this script was rushed out by an overly ambitious Shyamalan. While Unbreakable and Split had their structural flaws, they managed to fill in the plot holes. This sequel, however, is completely stuck in a logical black hole. The visuals and sound design don't match the appeal of the first two films either, and the whole thing feels rushed and slapped together.

I just can’t appreciate the awkward stitching of three stories here.

What stands out in this film is its philosophical approach, offering a contemplative take amidst the global craze for superhero stories. It challenges the romanticism of superheroes, pulling them back into the realm of reality. I’d prefer heroes who are genuine, ordinary people—just a bit different from us, but definitely not men in iron suits.

M. Night Shyamalan’s best works often finds a unique angle within the framework of a traditional commercial thriller, but this time, his attempt to create a universe of superhumans feels rather ordinary.

The two-hour runtime felt like an endurance test. The fragmented plot and dull dialogue failed to create engaging characters, and having multiple personalities doesn't make the character any more complex. Samuel L. Jackson's performance felt stiff and unconvincing. It's hard to believe this was directed by the same person who made “The Sixth Sense”.

Despite expectations, the final installment is just as underwhelming as the previous two films. James McAvoy’s constant switching between personalities feels more like a showcase of his acting skills than a plot necessity. When you think about it, only a few personalities stand out, so why exaggerate things by adding so many others?
