Antonio_EllisSeptember 2, 2024This film is just so unique, giving you all sorts of emotions. It's like it creates a whole new Paris that you'll never forget, with the acting, the language, the way the characters look, and the city scenes. It's the start of all of Jean-Luc Godard's later work. To really get the socialist message in this film, we need to forget about the old way of making movies, where the past holds us back from trying new things because it is always deemed right.

Aleshia_HardinSeptember 2, 2024This film feels like Jean-Luc Godard's personal reflection. It's clear that nihilism has always greatly influenced his creative work. In this one, with all the capitalism and media overload, it's like languages are melding together, and Paris just doesn't have that same magic it used to. So, he lets the characters spill their guts like they're having a conversation with themselves, only talking about what truly interests them. Yeah, they break the fourth wall in a big way. And as you watch, you'll understand why Godard loves putting women's magazines and posters in his movies so much.
