Two stories for the price of one: Lenny works in a video shop and tries to get acquainted with Lea. Leo beats his pregnant wife, Louise, which is a VERY bad idea, as her brother, Louis, is a violent racist.

You had me at Mads playing cinephile 💕 It's clear why Refn and Kojima became so close. This was fun. The camera work, the ultra tight lived in spaces. Refn went super naturalistic here. It's gritty, a little deranged, and even honest. Sucks about Vesemir.
