- Returning to Ube, a disillusioned director encounters an eccentric young woman who dresses strangely and repeats “Tomorrow is my birthday” every day. While filming her, he realizes she drifts between reality and fantasy, even as he seeks to move from anime into real cinema. Drawn together by their vulnerabilities, the two slowly fall in love.
