- Storyline
- Chelsea (Sasha Grey) is a high-end Manhattan escort who offers the “girlfriend experience” — dinners, movies, conversation, intimacy — all for $2,000 an hour. In October 2008, as the financial crisis deepens and the presidential election looms, Chelsea juggles her clients, her business ambitions, and her relationship with her boyfriend Chris (Chris Santos), a personal trainer. Over five non-consecutive days, we see her navigating image consultants, interviews, and clients seeking comfort. But when she feels a dangerous pull toward a new writer from Los Angeles, Chelsea must question the rules she’s set for herself — and what she’s willing to risk.
