An elderly, well dressed couple is quietly enjoying a glass of sherry in a railway station restaurant. They are on their way to the theater to see a play about endearing ordinary people, ever so warm hearted and hard working. The restaurant, however, is soon transformed into a theater of real life ordinary people. TV adaptation of Sønderby's 1947 one act play.
