Mockingjay - Part 1 has effectively laid the groundwork for what promises to be an exciting conclusion to a consistently strong series.

Last stop before the end

Contains spoilers
It was good seeing on screen some scenes we could not read in the books because of Katniss’ pov. By doing that, this movie created a solid base necessary to introduce the last part of the story. The scene of them rescuing Peeta at the end is excellent, adding a lot to that already complex plot.

A praised performance

As it happened in the two previous films, Jennifer Lawrence's performance was praised by critics, mainly thanks to her dramatic and physical power. A perfect preparation for the end of the saga.
