End of Watch (2012)★ 8.0/10

Filmed like a gritty docudrama, the movie excels at creating unease through its handheld camerawork. As the narrative builds, each routine patrol carries an undercurrent of dread, making the inevitable tragedy all the more impactful.

The ending hits hard. While the film leans on familiar policing tropes, its documentary-style approach adds grit and urgency. Jake Gyllenhaal and Michael Peña deliver performances full of authenticity, and the street-level dialogue makes every scene feel real.
