The film feels like it aimed high but didn’t quite stick to the landing. It tries to balance satirical comedy with some pretty heavy political themes, and it does a decent job of showing the chaos of American society during the Cold War. However, as the movie goes on, especially in the third act, it starts to lose focus when it follows a more mainstream approach. The big ideas about human civilization were replaced by various struggles. Ultimately, it doesn’t really nail in its message. It’s a shame because there’s potential here, but it just doesn’t come together in the end.

This is basically about a product manager and a marketing director who fell in love at first sight and worked together to complete the moon landing plan…

I knew it—there had to be cats on the moon!

I'd give this movie a 7.5 out of 10. It's a hilarious rom-com, and I love all the cute, nerdy-like romances that make me want to learn more about the real history behind them. And let me tell you, driving home after the movie with "Fly Me to the Moon" playing was just perfect. The feeling when the song ended just as I pulled into my driveway and turned off the engine of the car was amazing; it's hard to put into words.

This movie tells a tale of a huge achievement in a light-comedic way. But it ain't no sugarcoated history lesson. It's all about emphasizing the importance of telling the truth, even if people don't believe. Still, despite having all those A-list actors and actresses from Hollywood, it's at most just a decent flick overall.

This film is top-notch when it comes to special effects and sound design. It really pulls you into the world of the movie. The story is intense and full of surprises, keeping you on the edge of your seat the whole time. Plus, it touches on important themes like human courage and the spirit of exploration, showing how people can be determined and keep going even when faced with unknown challenges. The actors all do an amazing job, especially the protagonist, who really shows how steadfast and persevering they are, which really hits home with the audience. Overall, this is a movie you definitely don't want to miss.

I wasn't expecting much from this movie based on the cheesy trailer, but it actually had a great pace that kept me totally hooked, even though the plot wasn't the most reasonable. It's just a fun, lighthearted popcorn flick, perfect for relaxing. And while Channing Tatum is definitely charming, he can't compare to Scarlett Johansson's amazing energy. This movie is great for when you're stressed, as it reminds you to take a break and do what you want to do. I really love Scarlett Johansson's character; she's so full of life.

I considered giving this film a 7 out of 10, but Scarlett Johansson's and Channing Tatum's good looks and killer outfits pushed it up to an 8. The supporting cast adds some diversity and fun to the mix, too. But the plot is a bit all over the place, and the pacing could be better. Additionally, more romance would've been nice too. Overall, it's not perfect, but the cast is definitely visually appealing.

Overall, this is a light and entertaining American mainstream movie. Scarlett Johansson's performance is seriously charming! My only complaint is that "Fly Me to the Moon" doesn't get featured more than expected. Honestly, I was worried it wouldn't fit in, but the director did a great job with it.

Most of the humor in this film comes from the dialogue, which is like 80% of the movie. That makes it kind of a drag to watch in theaters, and I believe it'd be better if you stream it at home. The character development is pretty generic, and the story isn't very inspiring. The "fake moon landing" idea is cool, but it takes a while to get going. The finale with the fake vs. real live broadcast is pretty intriguing, but most of the movie is kind of a bummer.

At first, Sony's promo didn't really make me think this was a mainstream comedy, but the script for this movie is both funny and well-written. The way the leads clash and work together is really interesting, but the romance is pretty boring. Maybe it would've been better without it. Scarlett Johansson, you're gorgeous, and I'll always be a fan!

I was expecting a bit of political satire, but I got a full-blown American patriotic moon landing movie. The retro and modern love stuff felt a little forced, but the story structure was solid and didn't have too many wild twists. I was thinking about giving it a 6 out of 10, but I'll pump up the score to 8 because it's kinda rare to see a well-done, albeit a bit clichéd, Hollywood commercial film these days.
