GLADIATOR II 2024. 

This excellent film of action, adventure, drama and historical fiction is grabbing the attention of the audience and cinema lovers of this genre. An excellent film production that reconstructs the Roman empire in all its aspects.  It brings us with great veracity, social conditions, habits of life, poverty and wealth, opulence and decadence, and of great filmic value, shows the most traditional ways of achieving any goal in the Rome of those times. 

The richness of this film production is not only manifested in its stages, costumes, buildings of the Colosseum, palaces, villas, jewels carried by their performers. The most rich and interesting part of the film is in the dialogues and interpretations of the characters that its actors manage to bring to reality. 

The performances of all the actors to give life to their characters are masterful, the characters represented by Poul Mescal, Pedro Pascal, Connie Nielsen, Joseph Quinn, Fred Hechinger, were exemplary as those of the other actors. It should be noted that the performance of Denzel Washington as "Macrino" is magnificent, regal, unique, extraordinary, without the presence of this interpretation the film would be cataloged as good, but with the same is a work of the 7th art.

Macrino’s character is the exact representation of how the slave, the dispossessed, using the rules of his oppressors can reach the highest places in that society, these lines are based on the dialogue between Lucius and Macrino after Lucios defeated in the arena the gladiator who was riding a Rhinoceros. 

We can see that this film is a very fast film, the ideas, the development of the plot, sub plots, intrigues and other things are very fast, the action scenes make the film very attractive and entertaining, the film lasts 2 hours with 28 minutes. The viewer sitting in the cinema room does not notice the passage of time.  It should be noted that the music of the film is also short besides not having the strength and power of the music of the first installment. 

The conception of this film masterpiece cannot be fully appreciated without seeing the first installment.  The breath of life of the second installment is the dream of the emperor Marcus Aurelius, which is a fundamental pillar of the first installment. In both films corruption, debauchery and madness are elements to be overcome at all costs and in the current delivery is an imperative act, the ideas of Marcus Aurelius are still valid among the characters in the 2nd Film. 

We believe that the 24-year difference between the two films means that watching the first and second films will leave us with a good experience of entertainment, fun, and learning in many aspects, both historical and filmic. Another detail to highlight in the film of Gladiator II is the resolution, sharpness and color of it. We consider it a masterpiece of the genre.  We believe that it will take a long time to enjoy another film of this genre. It has achieved a high degree of excellence, quality, scenery, photography, among other things.
