BLADE RUNNER 2049.

Science fiction film that deals with one of the most iconic themes of our times. Is it possible for androids to have a soul, conscience, feelings, and memories? That they can feel empathy for their peers and at the same time for humans and other living beings in the universe? Would it be possible for androids to have the ability to reason between correct and incorrect actions based on human morality?

This film was released in 2017, with its main character being a Blade Runner named K, the audience through him and the plot of this film can identify all the questions that we humans have: Who am I? What is my purpose in society? Am I useful to anyone? Where am I going? Am I happy with myself? Among many other things.

All of the above arises from a police investigation that is entrusted to Agent K, masterfully played by actor Ryan Thomas Gosling. During his investigation, he comes across an incredible, unimaginable event: a replicant, an android, became pregnant and gave birth to a baby girl. This was the result of a love union with a human, Officer Rick Deckard, played by award-winning actor Harrison Ford. These events occurred 30 years before K's investigation.

This science fiction plot is impressive, magnificent, extraordinary, and current. Today we have Artificial Intelligence, and there are fears that at some point in the future, it could control humanity. What could we say about the approach of the film we are analyzing? You know nothing about the future. There were things in the past that seemed impossible to us, incoherent things, heresy, namely: a heart transplant, the cell phone, the creation of the automobile, the use of solar rays as weapons of war, the invention of the submarine, the airplane, the different prostheses for the human body and you stop counting.

This film takes a deep journey to the most hidden part of the human condition in addition to providing a unique degree of entertainment, the film goes by in a fast, exciting way, rich in simultaneous emotions. The variety of its characters is exceptional from K, through the police lieutenant, Robin Wright of Los Angeles, and the other actresses who give life to the other characters such as, for example: Ana de Armas, Silvia Hoeks, Mackenzie Davis. In the male roles, we can also cite the performances of Jared Leto and Dave Bautista.

This film has a very interesting element to see, is man capable of creating something similar to himself? Is the act of creating human life, not something permitted and/or exclusive to the creator? Why do we like the theme of a dystopian future for humanity?

This film is rich in special effects and visual effects, it has brilliant light and dark settings, bright and dim lighting, pastel colors, settings of immense spaces, as well as dark spaces with dirty aspects, inhospitable environments, as well as living conditions full of overcrowding, people who live in ignominy. And many other elements that today we can see in different parts of the planet.

!!! We consider this film Goya a cult film!!!
